Who Are WE?
The Talent Development Programme (TDP) of the University of Amsterdam was founded at the inception of the Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics College at the University of Amsterdam, comprised of students in this course, we originate from a variety of countries. We combine our creative and organizational skills to create fulfilling workshops and events for PPLE students to develop their talents and interests.
our purpose
The Talent Development Pogramme believes that PPLE students have a boundless capacity for learning, curiosity, and discovery. While the PPLE curriculum develops students’ academic capabilities, the Talent Development Program aims to unlock the student’s potential for their talents, their interests and their personality. We will achieve this through our core initiatives, and inviting students to set up or (further) develop their own initiatives with our help. In this way, the TDP contributes to the self-actualization of every PPLE student, and ideally aims to have a long-lasting impact on PPLE students’ life, beyond the academic development each student gets in the 180 credits of the PPLE program.

We hold initiatives to help PPLE students and our community thrive in the best possible ways. We help students navigate the job market and the world of interviews, internships and academia, in order for them to develop their full potential. We also aim to create non-academic events in fields that students care about to broaden our peer’s horizons and further their interests outside of PPLE; to do so, we are a platform for PPLE students to learn to create and plan events. Furthermore we organize cultural events to connect students better to their peers and their environment.

We want PPLE students to not only attend TDP events, but also to engage in the community. This is why TDP offers various opportunities for students to get involved. Our Student Initiative programme provides a platform for students to organize their own events and help each other in the process. With our support and, most importantly, their entrepreneurial spirit they can become more skilled individuals and embark on a journey to their future careers. Do you feel like you have an idea for an event, workshop or something entirely different that you think others would benefit from? You can get involved with TDP by filling out this form, we will gladly meet with you to discuss your ideas! Another way to get involved is to volunteer with TDP. Sometimes the events we hold are quite large and require extra help. This is a perfect opportunity to get behind the scenes of organizing an event or workshop.
