Reading Philosophy: Not Just For Men in Bathtubs*


In this workshop with Maryam Babur, who teaches Philosophy of the Social Sciences to first years and Evil: Philosophies and Realities to second years (IS4), you will get the chance to explore skills for studying philosophy. This is not meant as an extra tutorial for PSS, but as a workshop for anyone of any year who finds themselves a little stuck when it comes to philosophical texts. You’ll learn some tips and tricks for how to approach these texts (some good tips for any texts really), some ideas for what to do when you get stuck, and more general help for the world that is Philosophy.

This will be a (maximum) 2 hour session.
