We are hiring for 2023/2024 board positions!

After building the foundation of TDP, we have decided to go for a more structured approach. This means the following: TDP will organize 3 big events on the 3 pillars of TDP: that means, one career event, one personal development event, and one cultural development and integration event. On top of that, we will organize 2 recurring events, of which we are sure that they will be well-attended (such as de Peper or Data visualization). Apart from this, we would like to maintain 1 or 2 long-term cooperations, such as Movies that Matter and the Haven Diner. Moreover, we aim to outsource more events or collaborate with existing events, such as the Amsterdam Career Days and the Springboard Career Event. Lastly, we aim to support our existing student initiatives and support one new student initiative.

Our board consists of seven students and a non-executive staff member, here you’ll find who they are and here’s what they do:

Chair

The top position on the board is that of the Chair. The Chair sets and guides the meetings, in which the question “how are you doing?” is most relevant – both personally and professionally. The main task of the Chair is to check in on all board members to see whether they are doing what’s expected of them and content whilst doing so. The Chair is TDP’s contact person for the Editor-in-Chief of the Academic Journal. The chair also helps with the event creation. Furthermore, they keep up direct contact and work closely with PPLE management.

Suggested qualifications:

  • Experience in leadership

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Passionate about growth

  • TDP is your primary commitment and your time isn’t dedicated to too many other positions or boards

  • Personal skills: communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills

Co-head of Initiatives

As the Co-Head of Initiatives, you will work closely with your counterpart. Your primary role is to create and host events and uphold TDP’s long-term networks with UvA-internal and external organizations. The Co-Heads manage all contact with speakers, trainers, companies, and organizations that TDP wishes to work or have partnerships and long-term collaborations.
