“How to up my societal impact game: From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to (Investigative) Journalism”

Central to my presentation will be my progressive drive for societal transformations: from improving human rights and policies on migration to welcoming newcomers in the Netherlands. I switched from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (where I worked for 2,5 years) to journalism and wrote for outlets such as Foreign Policy, VICE and the National Post. Next to PPLE I am currently working for the Democracy and Media Foundation – thereby supporting and strengthening investigative journalism in the Netherlands.
